this is just one of my favorite things

my aunt and uncle invited me to the bronco game today. instead of driving, i walked downtown to meet them, catching up with my mom via telephone on the way.

we sat in 100 degree heat, our shirts all a different color from sweat. we made it on the jumbotron and my uncle single-handedly started "the wave" that successfully got everyone off their seat not once, but seven times around the entire stadium. amazing.

i walked home, again conversing with my mom the entire time, then showered, dressed up real pretty in a purple dress and cowboy boots and walked on over to shells and sauce for a big glass of red wine and butternut squash ravioli. the bartender and i have become fast friends and im probably going to take a piece of tiramisu home to enjoy during a pay per movie.

i love days like today.
