Kudos to John, who always supplies me with the oddest, and often innapropriate, but hilarious material...
Leck Mich Im Arsch:
Leck mich im Arsch is a canon in B-flat major composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. It was one of a set of at least six canons probably written in Vienna in 1782. Sung by six voices as a three-part round, it is though to be a party piece for his friends (Yeah... party... Or do you mean... Orgy?).
A literal English translation of the song's title and lyrics into English would be "Lick me in the arse." The correct itiomatic translation is "kiss my arse" or "get stuffed." The scatological title and lyrics have been used as evidence to support the contention that Mozart had Tourett syndrome, although that conjecture is not widely supported by medicaly professionals.
Lyrics
Leck mich Im Arsch!
(kiss my arse!)
Labt uns froh sein!
(Let us be glad!)
Murren ist vergebens!
(Grumbling is in vain!)
Knurren, Brummen ist vergebens,
(Growling, droning is in vain!)
ist das wahre Kreuz des Lebens,
(is the true bane of life)
Dan Brummen ist vergebens,
(droning is in vain)
Knurren, Brummen is vergebens, vergebens!
(Growling, droning is in vain, in vain!)
Drum labt uns froh und frohlich, froh sein!
(Thus let us be cheerful and merry, be glad!)
