E-Town Show Finally Released - Matt Nathanson / Ian Ball

Monday, February 11, 2008

This was probably my favorite show that I attended in 2007 (Late October)

E-town is a great organization that invites Musicians in for interviews, live music with their house band and more while diving into a little bit of philanthropy and recognizing those around the country that have actively made a difference with their charitable efforts.

If you're as much of a vintage lover as I, you'll also appreciate the 1940s Radio Show Format.

If you're a fan of the above, or perhaps a fan of Ian Ball from Gomez, please go to your iTunes Store and search Etown. Download the Matt Nathanson / Ian Ball Broadcast on iTunes Podcast - it's free - and I promise Matt will make you laugh. My face hurt so bad after the night was over from laughing so hard :)

Thanks!!!!
xoxoxo

Kinky, Wigged Musicians

Saturday, September 15, 2007
Kudos to John, who always supplies me with the oddest, and often innapropriate, but hilarious material...

Leck Mich Im Arsch:

Leck mich im Arsch is a canon in B-flat major composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. It was one of a set of at least six canons probably written in Vienna in 1782. Sung by six voices as a three-part round, it is though to be a party piece for his friends (Yeah... party... Or do you mean... Orgy?).

A literal English translation of the song's title and lyrics into English would be "Lick me in the arse." The correct itiomatic translation is "kiss my arse" or "get stuffed." The scatological title and lyrics have been used as evidence to support the contention that Mozart had Tourett syndrome, although that conjecture is not widely supported by medicaly professionals.

Lyrics

Leck mich Im Arsch!
(kiss my arse!)

Labt uns froh sein!
(Let us be glad!)

Murren ist vergebens!
(Grumbling is in vain!)

Knurren, Brummen ist vergebens,
(Growling, droning is in vain!)

ist das wahre Kreuz des Lebens,
(is the true bane of life)

Dan Brummen ist vergebens,
(droning is in vain)

Knurren, Brummen is vergebens, vergebens!
(Growling, droning is in vain, in vain!)

Drum labt uns froh und frohlich, froh sein!
(Thus let us be cheerful and merry, be glad!)

I've never seen someone look so bored to be performing at the MTV Awards... what do ya'all think:

I think her Rehearsal looked better (costume and dancing) better than the actual... what happened Brit Brit?? We were all rooting for you!

[if they take the video down - you can go watch her super fabulous performance here.]
